Syntergy specializes in developing
the most complex modifications to Livelink®.
A good example is the moderated document and URL
add that we developed for one of our customers.
We had previously, but never implemented, allowing
users to submit suggested documents and URLs to
the Library. Syntergy designed and developed this
interface and plugged it into the already-extensive
customization of Livelink®.
Some of the features of the moderated
add are:
- Custom attributes are captured
at submission time and used during the subsequent
moderated add process.
- Dynamic workflow maps are
built and initiated. The submitted documents
and URLs are attached to the workflows automatically.
Performers are assigned automatically. Steps can be delegated,
reassigned, or both.
- Custom e-mail messages are
sent to the performers and content submitters.
- Special auditing information
is recorded.
- Multiple Livelink® aliases
can be created with one submission.
By changing a fundamental area
of Livelink®, the document submission
process, the content of the Library was greatly
improved. The use of knowledge champions allowed "expert" filtering
of content through an automated process, greatly
increasing usability for everyone.
