Bulk Loader for Content Server

Load information quickly, accurately and inexpensively.
Bulk Loader loads documents, URLs, attributes and meta data along with users from all types of applications, storage areas and legacy systems. Load items such as scanned images, database reports, legacy data and bulk conversions from file servers. Text files can be used to specify Content Server category attributes or basic document system attributes such as owner, creator, location, and version information. This flexible feature set makes it easy to meet your organization's unique needs. Loads Users and Groups as well.

Powerful and easy metadata specification.
Metadata as well as user and group data is defined in simple .CSV (comma separated file) format files. This can be as easy as creating an Excel spreadsheet and saving as a .CSV file. CSV is one of the most frequently used file formats and is supported by many applications and utilities. The loader supports multiple metadata files for Content Server 9.x's multiple categories feature and also supports loading the multi-valued attributes.

A key feature of the Bulk Loader is the ability to constantly run in the background.
Through the use of a special Administration page, the application can be set to monitor any number of different "drop-off" directories for incoming documents along with user and group data. This data is then processed and loaded into Content Server automatically. The new "Drag and Drop" feature is great for loading documents from the desktop or from other applications that do not have Content Server API capabilities.
