Syntergy’s World Tour 2014
(Innovation Tour)

Syntergy is kicking off their 2014 schedule with a stop in Sydney, Australia on February 27 as a participant in the OpenText Innovation Tour. The Innovation tour allows organizations using Content Server to maximize their investment and interact directly with fellow Public Sector, Resource and technology professionals, learn about emerging trends, hear OpenText executives share their vision for the future, and participate in a variety of Enterprise Information Management (EIM) and industry focused breakout sessions. This event brings the Enterprise World experience -- complete with exclusive networking opportunities, exhibits, solution-specific tracks, and access to OpenText experts directly to customers in Sydney and New Zealand.

Enterprise World 2013 in Orlando was over in November and for Syntergy it was a huge success. "This show was another in a series of great Enterprise World shows that we have participated in." stated Doug Arthur, President of Syntergy. "As is typical, our booth was packed with customers from start to finish. The people that stopped by came with a specific need they knew our products addressed." Arthur has big expectations for the Innovation Tour shows as well. When asked about the tour he said, “The great thing about the Innovation Tour is that we get to meet people all over the world that either didn’t come to Orlando or didn’t have time to see our products. We have some great products for Content Server and this tour really gives us a chance to show case them.”

For Syntergy the best part of any trade show is the chance to meet customers and discuss their needs. This year’s Innovation Tour will be no exception. “It is always great to see our existing customers and to meet new customers that have a real need we can address.” said Martin Black, Vice President of Sales at Syntergy. “What’s even better is that these shows give us a chance to show them the solutions in a face to face environment where we can spend the time to show them the details.” According to Black, quite a few customers have an interest in moving their organization’s data into or out of Content Server. Many of the customers are interested in Replication and the many ways it can help them with their business needs. “A big problem for these companies is the ability to effectively meet data compliance requirements at sites with low bandwidth,” said the long time Syntergy sales representative. “Replicator was designed to meet this requirement and we have some good installations that prospective customers can reference to see how effective it is.”

Syntergy is expecting a big turnout at the London show. Upgrading Content Server without having any downtime has received a lot of interest from our customers in

Europe. “Syntergy has made a big push to support our global customers and it is really paying off,” said Doug Arthur, president of Syntergy. “We saw a lot of existing and prospective customers looking for a range of solutions including replication, bulk loading, upgrading and workflow. Our Upgrade product was probably the one people were most interested in. The ability to keep an existing version of Content Server online while an upgrade is taking place is a huge factor for organizations,” observed Arthur.

Syntergy will have a variety of analysts and developers attending the Innovation Tour shows. The number one priority is to have the most knowledgeable people available to answer the wide range of questions that customers have. Syntergy prides itself on having superior technological solutions so these tours are a great opportunity to show off the people behind the technology. “The technology behind Content Server is continually evolving so it is important that we attend as many technology transfer sessions as possible,” stated Greg Worden, senior analyst and long time Syntergy employee. “One of the great benefits of participating in the Innovation Tour is the ability to talk to the people at OpenText and ask questions, share ideas and establish relationships.”

Another benefit of the Innovation Tour is that customers can share their experiences with one another in an informal setting. Prospective customers can talk to existing customers and ask questions about how prospective solutions were actually implemented at customer sites. An advantage of being in business for over 17 years is that we have a long list of experienced customers that will talk the Syntergy story for us,” said President Doug Arthur. “Our best salespeople are our customers.”
