WilTel Migration

WilTel Communications had approximately 300,000 historical documents stored in their Livelink^® system and used by several business divisions.

After Wiltel had made their decision to migrate these documents to an enterprise implementation of Microsoft SharePoint 2003, they contacted Syntergy. So in partnership with Microsoft, Syntergy provided a suite of tools for migrating from Livelink^® to SharePoint.

Wiltel also purchased Syntergy’s Audit module to provide tracking information on the activities within SharePoint™ and the Cut and Paste module.

The migration was successfully performed by Wiltel staff in budget and on time.

Using a combination of off-the-shelf Syntergy modules and customization services, the client was able to provide internal and external users with real-time access to contractual, in-service, and billing information within a very rapid deployment schedule. This approach allowed the client to perform more work with fewer resources, thereby reducing implementation and on-going operational costs.
